"Make Friendship a Fine Art"

One of John Wooden's (legendary basketball coach) maxims is "Make Friendship a Fine Art". Now, researchers have uncovered data suggesting that strong friendships help us live longer.

Too often, friends falls to the bottom of the responsibilities we juggle: kids, work, parents, chores and errands.

Why not do one thoughtful thing for a friend this week?

Here in Atlanta, the azaleas are in full bloom. So, we’re listing ways you can express your appreciation with flowers.

- Brighten up a friend’s day with a gift from nature. Say “thinking of you” with sprigs from an azalea bush, magnolia or cherry tree.

- Or, buy some fresh basil, bay leaf or chives and create an herbal oil.

- We also love these reasonably priced gifts – with a floral theme:
  • Festive lunch tote for the dieting or health conscious friend;
  • A diary that says springtime all over it.

We hope you'll take some time to celebrate a friend this week.

At VoiceQuilt, we're very lucky. We have many generous gift givers who share messages which celebrate friends. Check out the amazing girlfriend voice message toast -- the first in this list here.
