With Easter 10 days away, we thought we’d share tips for “going green” with this year’s celebrations.
1. Natural Easter Egg dyes. Our experts tell us that you and your children can use blueberry and grape juice to create a wonderful hue of blue for Easter eggs; for red, we’re told that pomegranate juice is perfect. See this list of organic dyes.
2. The Annual White House Egg Roll will involve colored eggs made from a “bio-degradable paperboard material that promotes sustainable forestry”. (That’s quite a mouthful.) If you’re interested in alternatives to the plastic egg, check out these sites for crafting ideas.

The White House version will feature the President’s signature – which means the egg will become a treasured collectible. Why not come up with your own Easter egg keepsake - using a child’s artistry?
3. Last but not least, why not use recycled paper – or real grass clippings – for the Easter basket grass?
At VoiceQuilt, we focus on making it easy to celebrate a loved one with toasts, tributes and favorite memories. We hope you'll take every opportunity you can to create special memories with your families -- green or not. Best wishes for a joyful holiday and a host of magical memories.
